What Do You Want?

What do you want? It’s such a simple question. Yet, we rarely ask it to our kids, employees, colleagues, families, and friends. Much of my work is helping people get clear on what they want. Many of us don’t actually know what we want. Exploring the answer requires deep work and reflection. It’s a simple question, yet it rarely has a simple answer. Here are some more questions to help you get clarity.

  1. What do you want relationally (family and friends)?

  2. What do you want financially?

  3. What do you want for your career?

  4. What do you want spiritually?

  5. What do you want physically (health)?

  6. What do you want mentally and emotionally?

  7. What do you want tomorrow that you don’t currently have today?

  8. What do you want for those you care most about?

  9. What do those who care about you want for you?

From there, take a look at what gaps might exist. How can you close the gaps? Get to work.
